Might be related, but the issue is not that its a different planet, the issue is that geof:distance does not normalize its values before calculation. So if the longitude is +239.91, which I think is Ok (cc @Pnorman), in theory geof:distance should first normalize it to -180..+180 range, and perform calculations afterwards.
Of course this can also be solved with the import sanitizer, but TBH I think geof:distance should be more versatile and handle every value.
BTW, I tried to figure out if Mars was using the same -180..180 convention, but there doesn't seem to be much info on that in the wiki. Bummer :(
