@Addshore well, sleeping wasts time, that is to be expected. The questions is - why do we sleep so much more now? This is a retry loop, right? What condition is it no waiting for so much? Can we track what condition causes how much wait time? It uses callbacks, so I guess we'd need to give these a same somehow... Also, the callback goes into the constructor, so the culprit is not on the stack of the slow call. That makes this fun to investigate...
Also, is this Wikidata-only, or does the problem affect other sites as well?
