Hi Victor, Your intuition on "recentchanges" is correct - if Kafka broker is not specified in options, recentchanges is used and if triples for property do not appear there, data on it will not be updated.
On the question of whether properties data should appear there, I have to get back to you on that later - unless someone with more knowledge on Wikibase manages to answer sooner.
