I hate the term "non functional requirement" but most people would pigeonhole this extract problem. It does reach extremes and if a system is at bat enough it will strike out badly some times. Having a sense of what could be offensive is a part of social skills and it is an essential skill for intelligent systems.
Why not "Lister" or "Listerine™?" these are based on the same root and don't trigger quite the same "A=A" reaction that Listeria does.
