(They have their own hack.) This closes a wish that has been around since 2004 \o/ ( phabricator:T2708 <https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T2708>) - The new datatype for external identifiers is available and we are converting existing identifiers <https://lists.wikimedia.org/pipermail/wikidata/2016-February/008247.html> - Input needed on caching for the query service <https://lists.wikimedia.org/pipermail/wikidata/2016-February/008231.html> - Added a new identifiers section in items. Everything with datatype external identifier goes there now. Once we have all identifiers converted items should be easier to scan and understand because of the clearer structure. - We have a patch upcoming that should reduce loading time of items with a lot of sitelinks by 25% - Fixed a bug where you could not add statements with external identifier or mathematical expression datatype (phabricator:T127095 <https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T127095>) - More groundwork for Commons (making it possible to have more entities than just items and properties) - Wikidata Query Service <https://query.wikidata.org/> now supports all commonly used prefixes <https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Wikibase/Indexing/RDF_Dump_Format#Prefixes_used> by default, without explicit declaration. - wikidata-sdk ships with a #SPARQL query url generator <https://github.com/maxlath/wikidata-sdk#sparql-queries> You can see all open tickets related to Wikidata here <https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/maniphest/query/4RotIcw5oINo/#R>.
