Dear Wikidata community, You may have already seen the survey call on AI Applications in Libraries from Oxford below through other mailing lists, but I wanted to make sure to reach out to our library colleagues from the Wikimedia community personally as well. I have held a Wiki Open Science Fellowship myself and know how dedicated the Wiki community is, especially in its global reach and impact.
I am especially interested in people having worked with both LOD and AI approaches to library and cultural heritage data and how these compare for you. If the survey is not for you but you are still interested to talk, please reach out. We have received strong response numbers so far, but we always appreciate additional feedback from library professionals or other data specialists working with AI and libraries. We would be especially grateful for engagement and invite library colleagues from Africa, Asia, and the Middle East to participate. (We've also had wonderful responses from Latin America and the Caribbean, but more are always welcome!) The survey runs until tomorrow night, 15 October 2025, and survey results will be shared back with the library community. Please note that participants have the option to respond completely anonymously! While the survey is in English, we accept responses in all local languages.
