Dear SparkerEd, I am writing to inform you about the following training opportunity, and to invite you spread the word at your institution or to nominate colleagues that would be interested in joining this free online training on basic wiki editing skills, scheduled to take place from October 9-19. Exact guidelines will follow to confirmed participants.
This is an online capacity building exercise - so that we can strengthen local skills and networks for WikiEducator in the Pacific. The idea is that people will be an Ambassador for WikiEducator by nominating 2 or more people from your office or local community. Wayne Mackintosh will facilitate a wiki training using our tutorials from Vancouver (www.col.org/wmackintosh). Should you be interested to either join or nominate people to participate, please send the names and email addresses of at least 2 people in your country (can be more) by latest Friday, October 5, to me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] so that Wayne can set up the training. Participants would need to allocate about 30 - 40 minutes per working day at a time that is convenient to them. Participants will need connectivity to the Internet for this training.
