Again, this is not an LQT bug or even a bug at all - it's the way subpages behave (you'll see the same on Wikipedia talk page archives). Imagine you have a User:Foo/Something subpage - the User_talk:Foo/Something would backlink via the "article" to User:Foo/Something but, if that doesn't exist, redlink there. That's what's happening.
