That is truly a wonderful idea!
Yes we are considering static collections already available in public 
archival institutions such as ours on the one hand, and new projects we are 
taking on to establish digital community archives for local knowledge and 
culture with indigenous and historically disadvantaged communities in 
different parts of India (Six centres to be precise) .
I am aware of the Greenstone software but I am yet to check its 
functionality in relation to actual collections.
I am profoundly grateful to you for the idea on community collaboration and 
it certainly is very exciting! Building a folklore commons, yes that is 
precisely we want to do
