Hi Everyone,

Currently WikiEducator does not have any guidelines or policy for
feature requests from the Community.

WikiEducator has now matured to the point where we need to develop
guidelines and procedures for doing this.

Their have been active and passionate discussions in the past associated
with the embedding of third party media and the pros/cons associated
with Liquid Threads. I propose that we use these two examples of
community technology requests as the prototype for developing the
guidelines and procedures for dealing with feature requests from the
community.

The purpose is to develop a set of guidelines and draft policy proposal
for approval by the WE Community Council. In my view, the question of
third party media and LQT are excellent case examples for us to get
these processes right.

I've set up a page for us to start working on these guidelines here:

http://www.wikieducator.org/WikiEducator:Guidlines_for_technology_feature_requests

Once we have drafted these guidelines we can use the two case examples
to fine tune our policy proposals.

Looking forward to active participation in solving a challenging issue
in our community.

Cheers
Wayne
