Leigh, A feature allowing members to lock pages is something other wikis such as pbwiki, wikispaces, wetpaint etc. provide. The question is whether the feature does not go counter to open collaboration. I personally think it does. I feel very uncomfortable when I see a "locked page" such as the main page. We can always revert if we don't like the change or communicate our desire on how we want to communicate, but putting "bars" on pages is not a poor way of encouraging collaboration. What do others think?
