This sort of Javascript solution only applies to the individual's
view.  (It really is very much like how you can use Greasemonkey to
customize your web views in general.)

For the general user's view, I think templating is probably the most
general solution.  Using a template on a page (and its subpages) or
throughout a project can add a distinctive look or convenience links.
(And since I am very interested in reusing WikiEducator content in
other places, I also like how the structure that templates apply can
provide clues that are consistent across pages that automated tools
can take advantage of.)
