I've used the deletion system with success (it's working, from my
perspective), but so far only for pages that I created but then didn't need.
In my post earlier today about an image with no source info, I felt unsure
about whether to just request its deletion or if there is some better way to
handle it. Yes, we do need a system to handle the "dead bodies" so they
don't pile up. And this one seems pretty simple to use.

Agreed, deletions of other people's work should have an independent review
before deleting.

Guess my suggestion would be to create a few guidelines for when to suggest
deletion of other people's work (lack of source info, likely copyright
issue). Putting these directly on the category page works for me.

Maybe add an explanation of the function on the wikieducator tutorials with
link to category page.
