Hi Everyone, IMPORTANT POLICY UPDATE
As you know we have an active WE workgroup preparing guidelines and procedures for the functioning of Community Workgroups. This is an important activity, because this group is drafting guidelines and policy proposals for the development and approval mechanisms of future guidelines and polices in our community. In terms of the milestones and targets we specified in our group charter, we said that we will provide our 2nd update to the main WE list on 31 July 2009, see: http://wikieducator.org/Workgroup:WikiEducator_Workgroups We've achieved this milestone :-). Naturally -- all our work and discussions are conducted transparently in the wiki and you can monitor progress on a daily basis on the relevant wiki pages. We encourage you to visit the links provided in the progress report below. We are ahead of the schedule in presenting a draft policy/ guidelines for your consideration and discussion. WE extend an open invitation for all WIkiEducators to provide comment and feedback using the relevant talk pages associated with the wiki pages listed below (click on the discussion tab of the relevant WikiEducator page and have your say). We summarise the schedule for completion of our work as well as the 2nd progress report which is due today. SCHEDULE 1) Comment and feedback on the draft policy and supporting guidelines by 5 August 2009 -- Done via this post (We're ahead of schedule :-) ) 2) We will review all comments and discussion items from the community to see what amendments are necessary and how best to incorporate these into the policy and guideline proposals by 10 August 2009 3) We will present a revised draft to the Community for comment on 15 August 2009 4) Review and incorporate further comments in preparation for a final draft by 25 August 2009 5) Prepare a report on the workgroup activities in preparation for the submission to the next Community Council Meeting by 5 September 2009.
