Hi all, Since I haven't had an comments in a while, I'm just going to go ahead and announce the draft policy proposal <http://www.wikieducator.org/Workgroup:style_guidelines/Guideline_policy_proposal> as being a complete final draft. This is for the purpose of the community council meeting <http://www.wikieducator.org/WikiEducator:Community_Council/Meetings/Second> beginning today. You can see the report, here <http://www.wikieducator.org/WikiEducator:Style_guide/Report>. This does not mean the proposed policy is final in any way; it can always be changed to better accommodate the needs of our community. If you think the policy needs to be adjusted, please bring your opinions to us, at the talk page.
The situation with the style guide itself is looking rather good. It seems we have the foundation prepared to make great strides in developing style standards. Here are some of the new goings on with the proposed guidelines <http://www.wikieducator.org/WikiEducator:Style_guide/Proposed_guidelines>: * A discussion has opened about how our style choices affect our members and readers <http://www.wikieducator.org/WikiEducator:Style_guide/Proposed_guidelines/The_use_of_capital_letters>, which is also a part of * A discussion about whether we should apply a professional style standard such as APA, or stick with the publication genre standard set by Wikipedia <http://www.wikieducator.org/WikiEducator:Style_guide/Proposed_guidelines/The_use_of_capital_letters>, as a general guide. * A discussion about standardising how a category is named and ensuring that members use the same categories <http://www.wikieducator.org/WikiEducator:Style_guide/Proposed_guidelines/Category_header> * Nellie Deutsch has suggested a new guideline that describes how WE use regional spelling choice <http://www.wikieducator.org/WikiEducator:Style_guide/Proposed_guidelines/Spelling>.
