Fellow WikiEducators, During the recent WikiEducator Community Council Meeting, amendments to the Interim Open Community Governance Policy were considered. In view of the importance of this policy and the richness of the discussions, Council recommended the establishment of a Workgroup to consolidate the suggestions and amend the policy to produce a second draft for review at the next meeting.
A draft Workgroup Charter is now online for comment and discussion: http://wikieducator.org/Workgroup:Amendments_to_Open_Community_Governance_Policy During October, the focus will be on the Charter itself, though comments on the policy will also be welcome. If you would like to contribute comments on the Charter, please do so by mid-October so that working group members may synthesise suggestions and edit the charter in time for Council to approve it by the end of the month. The charter includes instructions for joining and contributing to this workgroup and a suggested timeline for achieving our objectives. Looking forward to informative and constructive dialogue.
