Hi Simon, Yeah -- the WYSIWYG editing is pretty impressive. There are bound to be a few bugs and teething problems, so please put the technology through its paces.
To be fair to WMF (and I'm on their International advisory board), WP for example is a far more complex challenge with reference to templates, scalability and big pages. That said, the WMF usability project is making impressive gains. WE stand on the shoulders of giants, demonstrating the power of the open source model. Many of the recent refinements to the CK-Editor extension for MW are the result of considerable development work by Wikia -- and we must commend Wikia for their ongoing commitment to the open source model. So who do we have to thank -- the free culture and free software movements. Together we achieve more than working alone!
