Hi Phil, Controversial topics are just that - -controversial. It was a good rant -- what we've come to expect from Phil :-).
You're right --- WE need to think, reflect and act on what we as a community of educators will be doing with regards to controversial OER -- I don't know the answers, but have faith that over time, given the commitment of what the WE family are trying to do, we will find ways to navigate these challenges. WE've always remained open to critical thinking on the list and we aim to continue. These experiences are valuable for us to reflect and reaffirm the boundaries, genre and tone of the discourse on our list -- while hopefully still dealing with the facts.
