Hi Alison,

Thanks very much for your help in testing the editor. I'm relieved that
someone with better knowledge than me of Latex and math notation for the web
is testing the editor :-).

I tested the "<span class="texhtml">{''a''''b''''c''}</span> on the live WE
site (without the RTE) and the markup wasn't rendering properly either. So I
suspect that this is not Editor specific. Folk with better knowledge of
this html markup will need to take look.

I'll take a look at the table issue and see if we can come up with a
reasonable fix -- at least we can always revert to wiki syntax and insert
something after the table to get this sorted in the mean time.

Personally, I think there is room for improvement in the RTE regarding the
display of templates, categories etc. In time, we're hoping to improve this.
For example it would be useful for a template to display in the RTE with
better labels -- For, example "Objectives template" Templates require
intermediate editing knowledge of the syntax for parameters etc -- but at
least we're no worse than standard wiki syntax.

With funding support from the New Zealand Ministry of Education we will be
working on usability enhancements of high usage templates which will
possibly use a pull down menu with form fields, radio buttons etc for
populating these templates. Ideally we would like to be in a situation where
the majority of users would not need to interact with raw wiki syntax, yet
retaining the ability for more advanced users to continue innovation.

Cheers
Wayne
