Dear Vtaylor,

This trend of bribery is very common especially in countries where jobs are
scarce. This scenario you heard and read is one of its kind in the globe.
this practice is very common especially here in Africa.

$6000 is a lot of money for someone who is looking for a job. Where can he
get that money to start with? In Zambia, especially in the minining industry
this is very common. I overheard someone was told to give a contractor some
money so that he can be given a job.

Where are we going? What is happening? What solutions can we put across so
that this trend can stop? These are some of the questions that are ringing
in the heards of troubled people.

Regards
