Hi Ben, No worries -- Yes is possible for us (read Jim :-)) to build scripts to track stats of specific pages. See for example some of the OER projects at Otago Polytechnic:

As an open source project all our data is openly licensed under the default CC-BY-SA license which will ensure that research findings are shared openly. In the near future we are planning to launch WikiResearcher.org --- an international collaboration for the planning, execution and dissemination of open research. Lets chat --- sounds interesting.
