Hi Santosh Kia ora from New Zealand. Appreciate your feedback on the report -- we've consulted widely using an open and transparent process this past year. This has contributed to developing a robust strategy for the OER Foundation to assist organisations in achieving their objectives using OER approaches.
I must commend USP's initiative to enrol a significant number of participants in the upcoming "WikiEducator Gives Back" workshop. This is a smart way to build OER capability and establish a critical mass of colleagues within your institution who can start working on a few exciting OER projects. The advantage of good leadership :-) I agree -- Ramesh is an inspirational WikiAmbassador and doing amazing work in our community at an international level. Yes -- you can definitely join as a founding member of the OER Foundation --- All members who join before 31 December will receive the status of "Founding member". I agree that the Bronze level membership tier is a good choice for USP -- this will provide the service support you need to get a scalable OER initiative started at USP and you can refine your strategies and approaches in a cost efficient way. There are a couple of strategies you could implement to leverage greater return from the Bronze membership -- and I would me more than happy to make a few suggestions. There are other alternatives to consider (http://wikieducator.org/OERF:Join) but I recommend we arrange a time to talk through various options. Our mission is to support *you* in achieving *your* objectives --- and depending on your needs -- we'll find the best fit for USP. I'll contact you offline to arrange a time for us to chat through the options. The opportunities for education institutions to make education more accessible, more affordable and more efficient through OER are huge -- look forward to sharing a few thoughts on how we can achieve these futures for USP.
