It should be fairly straightforward. The editor appeared to be abandoned for a while, but it seems to have picked up a new champion recently. http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:FCKeditor_(Official) I still don't like this editor because it doesn't "round trip" neatly with wikitext and so makes messy diffs. If you are going to have messy diffs, you might as well use OpenOffice and get more editing creature comforts. An alternative would be to stick with the official MediaWiki effort to improve the edit page. http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:UsabilityInitiative That does have the advantage that the Wikimedia Foundation has sponsored/adopted it, so it has a clear path forward. I think the most interesting development is work on "sentence level editing" that seems to provide a very natural way of editing. Because of the way it acts as a preprocessor, it may hold a lot promise in being able to include/edit templates within the text. http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/User:JanPaul123/Sentence-level_editing Or you can try it here (without even logging in): http://janpaulposma.nl/sle/wiki -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "WikiEducator" group.
