Hi Everyone,

An interview posted by Education-Portal.com with Professor Jim Taylor from
the University of Southern Queensland <http://wikieducator.org/USQ> about
open education and the OER university <http://wikieducator.org/OERU>.

Prof Taylor says:

"*We see higher education sustainability and affordability as dependent on
finding a new model. The potential for the existing infrastructure to meet
the growing demand for higher education is a major issue - there are several
studies that demonstrate that's just not possible on a global level. So the
OER University acknowledges that most universities have community service as
part of their mission and supports this by giving students access to credit
through open educational resources."
