I also wanted to say that setting up a hangout is  great idea.
One thing would be useful, if we want to get a focus on, and list of,
the first OER course(s), would be to set up an ideascale.
Would give me a chance to point some NREN techs (and some other
OERers) at the kind of course the uni's members sees as natural.

NB. The kind of tools required tend to change from course to course.
BTW. I don't know how far you like going into the land of geekdom. But
Bill is a good writer who is try to bridge the gap between the content
people (like OERers), the R&E network guys, and the institutional IT
guys who networkers refer to as the "human firewall".
