Hi everyone, I'm posting here after a discussion with Wayne a couple weeks ago. At USQ, we've been working on the latest course offering *Psychological Foundations of Exercise and Sport *(http://wikieducator.org/OERuESP1), and I've been very pleased with the progress the team has made. We've had three staff working with Professor Peter Terry to develop and upload the course. There has been a dual focus on the learning design, and also making the course as visually appealing and graphically driven as we can. At this stage, we're still tidying it up ready for launch, but you'll see what we mean.
There are going to be at least three more micro-courses in this area and the content and design are almost complete. This has left our initial team very excited, but also offers the opportunity to build skills within the rest of our larger team (we have eighteen staff in our area). As I mentioned ESP1 has a team of three. When we move to the other courses, two of these people will be bringing in another two from the broader team and acting as mentors. This gives the 'old hands' a chance to keep their skills, and teach others, whilst the new folk learn as they develop. By doing three courses, we'll bring in at least six new staff, for a total of nine staff who can confidently work in this space. Also, I've encouraged all team members to document their own processes and 'quick tips' to use for internal education, but we'll collate all of these and feed them back to the OERu so that others can benefit from our documentation. We presented the course, and our experiences at a team forum yesterday and I think we'll not have a lack of volunteers to work in this space. Most people there were very keen to '*try something new*'. I think this is a very exciting time, and I'm glad for the opportunity to be involved.
