The OER Foundation has been selected as one of the mentoring organisations
for this year's Google Summer of
Code<http://oeruniversitas.org/news/want-to-code-this-summer-to-help-oeru-learners-/>
.

This is a wonderful opportunity for students to help WikiEducator while
gaining real-world experience of working on major open projects with
experienced mentors. Successful students are also paid a stipend of $5,500
for their effort.

If you're a lecturer at a university, polytechnic or community college, now
is the time to raise awareness with your students as proposals must be
submitted from 10 - 21 March 2014. Read

Special thanks to Valerie Taylor and Luis Miguel Morillas from the
WikiEducator community for stepping forward and volunteering to help with
administering and mentoring the students.
