That was an interesting read. Will read the full version soon. Especially since I encountered some images a while ago where it was stated that the copyright was not renewed. For people interested (and I would be glad to have more opinions) see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Possibly_unfree_images/2008_December_25 and http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Portrait_sitting.jpg. I hope they are indeed free, but sometimes it seems/feels too easy.
