We do have our very own playpen here: http://flaggedrevs.labs.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page The long-term plan is to make more environments like prototype.wikimedia.org, but the usability folks are the pioneers for that particular combination of hardware and software, and I think they plan to keep using it for now.
