Experiences at wmch showed that commercial sponsorship are such a low percentage that it is questionable to put any effort at all into it. Our unique selling point in the yearly fundraiser always was that we fully depend on small donating and with it guarantee full independence in mindset and content creation.
If commercial sponsorship is perceived to touch this independence it is toxic and lowers fundraising income much more than the amount received from commerce. But we accepted commercial sponsorship in rare cases, where we were 100% sure that no such effect would happen. As far as I know we do not have any official standpoint to this topic, so its my personal opinion. At the end of the day its decided on a case by case basis. Rupert.
