Dear members of international Wiki Loves Monuments community. Wikimedia Czech Republic does want to participate this year in the contest. In 2012 we did - and we were successful - we finished on 7th place with more than 17k pictures. We would like to repeat this success this year - and perhaps reach even a better result. The reason why I would like to renew this whole idea is a fact, that I've looked at Commons earlier this day - http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2013/Participating_countries <http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2013/Participating_countries> and our country is still listed as "possibly participating". We already have negotiated partnership with cultural institutions (Silesian museum and National Heritage Institute). Since 2012 there are more than 300 lists of monuments for each district or town/city on Czech Wikipedia. We are ready.. (at least we hope so). Aktron Wikimedia Czech Republic vice-chairman.
