The 'tile' theme does have some advantages - more posts can be shown at one
time, which is great for featuring the winners in multiple countries. It's also
fully responsive, meaning it will render nicely on phones, tablets, and
desktops with the same theme.
Streamlined commenting is easier for new users, while pictures are up front. To
a certain degree, it's a matter of personal taste. Typography is a bit cleaner;
in general, it tends to look more professional because it was professionally
designed. I personally prefer the new theme as a more modern approach still
under a free license.

I can definitely make additional modifications for anyone who needs help -
things like colors can be changed very easily. (The theme is

backend of course)

The .us website looks to me like the original .org template before it got
changed.
Personally I actually prefer the white-and-red skin much more over the current
chaotic .org version (I'm just not a big fan of the tile structure chosen
there, nor of the color scheme).

On
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2013/FAQ#How_to_set_up_a_website_for_my_country.3F
you can find some more info about the red-and-white skin.

Hi Mono,

Thanks,

Yes, I would love to know which template is used for *.org.
