Hi Yaroslav, there are many things not ready yet :) So yes, there are multiple issues. The issue I'm most worried about, assuming all data could be inserted into wikidata already (big assumption as far as I understand, but OK), that the data could still not be displayed on the Wikipedias. As in, replace the current lists on Wikipedia. As long as that is the case, and we do transfer the data (or rather copy), it would become necessary to edit two places as soon as you make an improvement to (for example) the address. You would have to correct both Wikipedia (the list of monuments in XYZ) and Wikidata (Q1234567). If we wait until this display option is available on all wiki's, this is no longer the case.
So this is mostly a timing argument - I do agree that eventually moving to Wikidata makes sense. But as it looks right now to me, that'll take a bit more time. Lodewijk 2013/10/13 Yaroslav M.
