Hi, from discussions it seems there is no clear agreement whether or not there should be an international WLM in 2014. I can at least say that I will not be involved in Wiki Loves Monuments any more (lack of time, and also because of the difficulties encountered at the funding stage and elsewhere which decreased my enthusiasm a lot) - I can't speak for the other organizers. We're still busy wrapping up the 2013 competition.
Earlier this year there were conversations to organize a Wiki Loves Earth international edition in 2014 instead of Wiki Loves Monuments, and I know at least WMNL is very interested in that, and Wikimedia Ukraine used to be. I think it is time for people who want to join an international team for the coming year to speak up. Now is the time to get started indeed on that level, and to get as much knowledge transfer as possible from the old to the new team - be it Wiki Loves Earth or Wiki Loves Monuments.
