Hi all, an update. I decided to no longer pursue the training the way I envisioned it: a large meeting (with a rather large budget attached to it) with very effective knowledge and experience sharing. There is simply not enough engagement, even though there is some enthusiasm for the idea. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to put people together effectively in a timely manner.
>From the beginning it was clear that this kind of meeting could only work if there is a lot of engagement from all participants during the preparation of the meeting. With the kind of involvement there has been so far, it would be too much of a change of pace to be realistic. Unfortunately, because it would have been a great exercise. It might be that the international team of 2015 (which needs to be brought together still) will set up a smaller meeting with a clear focus on the organization of WLM 2015, and that they invite a few people to that too, but that will have to be part of their general budget. If anyone tries to set up a workshop or anything at one of the Wikimedia meetings (chapters conference, glam wiki, etc) feel free to involve me for thoughts, participation or other support. The number of people who indicated their interest on the page might also be helpful.
