Dear Wikipedians, On 18 April, the International Day for Monuments and Sites is celebrated. On that same day, the first edition of the UNESCO Challenge <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/UNESCO_Challenge> will also take place. The challenge will last for a full month.
The UNESCO Challenge is a challenge co-arranged by UNESCO, the Swedish National Heritage Board and Wikimedia Sverige, with the purpose to improve Wikipedia articles on world heritage sites. UNESCO are going to release a couple of thousand images (they will be added in this category <https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Images_from_UNESCO_2017-04>), and a lot of Open Access texts about the sites, which may be used in the challenge. Write in whatever language you like! You find the page for participation and points registration here <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/UNESCO_Challenge/Participants>. Please help us spread the word to your communities!
