Cool! My French is pretty poor but that looks similar and useful. We
need "how to Wikimania" documents :)

As I was working on the handbook I actually imagined a whole group of
related documents:
* the handbook
* a good sample timeline
* comprehensive checklists for each area
* sample forms, i.e. for reporting a budget or negotiating sponsorship
* registration & program system docs
* and good historical documentation about past conferences, including
lists of speakers invited etc.

this could be a package that we give to new teams. There is a
precedent for this -- if you search on the web for "conference
checklists" or similar you find lots of event management checklists
and templates. But we need some that are customized for Wikimania...
