That said, it depends on where you'll start if you really have to arrive 3h30 before the flight departure. In AMS, my boarding hour was set 1 hour before the departure itself as usual but the boarding gate was said to be closed 45 minutes before, which I first thought very early. Also with his advice now I'm gradually realizing why the TLV departure flood was so clouded, although it was 5 AM - the morning departure might mean one has to arrive the airport much earlier.
