Dear All,
Sorry to spam three lists with this but not everyone is on Wikimania-l, and I
know there are a lot of attendees at Wikimania who are on Internal-l. So to
give a little contextual history, over the past few years at Wikimania a group
of LGBT and LGBT friendly attendees of Wikimania have meet at a gay bar or
restaurant to socialize. This year this is a little tricky as there are very
few gay establishments in Haifa, I have however found what looks like a
promising gay friendly club downtown that some of use might like to visit this
evening (Friday night).
If you are interested to join your fellow LGBT and LGBT friendly wikimedians we
are going to meet at the Dan Panorama lobby bar between 21:00-21:45 for a drink
and then whoever is interested will travel to Syncopa which I am told is a gay
friendly bar in old-town Haifa. Syncopa is located near the Paris Square
subway stop, however the subway will be closed for the Sabbath so we will share
taxis, I estimate the taxi cost wont be much more than 10 shekels each (if we
get about 4 people in the cab).

questions or know of a better bar in Haifa please email me off list. If you
have any friends who are not on Wikimania-l or Internal-l who you think might
like to join us please feel free to forward my email to them.
Dan Panorama Lobby Bar
107 Hanassi Avenue (a 7 minute walk from the venue just past the subway station)
The lobby bar is located the floor above the hotel entrance and reception just
go past the reception and up the stairs.
