Hi Romaine, hi everybody, it is very painful for me to read this.
I have hearing problems myself, so I sometimes speak too loud, I may not hear someone calling me, I may walk around someone to get in a position where I can hear him/her well, etc. These behaviors may look rude, but as a movement we should be able to deal with them without asking people to step down.
