Hi, It is a nice idea to arrange this type to meetups. Here is a chance to meet the existing contributors of wikipedia and may be we will meet some new guys too.
Form the mailing list and village pump discussion i found that the number of participant is not that big. So in that case WMBD can easily fund this event. I have a few suggestions regarding this event venue. It is a great idea to have iftar at the puran dhaka area. But i think it is better to sit at the Star kabab restaurant near Dhanmondi 2. There are several bus lines available to go there. And another thing is we may want to discuss some of our future plans before the iftar. Dhanmondi 2 star has a huge sitting arrangement (1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th floor are available now) so if we can come earlier than we can easily continue our discussion before it get too crowded. about the date, i prefer friday.
