When I referred to "coordinators" earlier I was referring to the people 
planning each individual event. While I do believe that it might be valuable to 
have a single-point-of-communication type figure who would keep track of all 
the events and then keep everyone abreast of upcoming events and new 
developments, I never envisioned a role in which one person would dictate 
schedule and plan all the events. Besides that being both highly stressful and 
possibly impossible, that's also rather un-Wiki.
