Hi Boston folk, I have a contact in Cambridge that's interested in hosting a meetup in March. I would probably be in town for it (for those that don't know me, I live in SF, but family is in Boston, so I always love an excuse to visit :) This would be similar to the event we did a couple weeks ago at EchoDitto: first an introduction to Wikipedia for newbies, followed by a less formal edit-a-thon, time for meeting/chatting, etc.
I see that you have a regular meetup scheduled Monday March 11 at 7pm. Would it make sense to combine these events -- for instance, have the Intro session at 6pm, and then have your regular session start after? Or do you already have a location you want to stick with? I'm happy to steer them either toward having a separate event, or toward hosting you guys, depending what makes sense. One advantage to combining forces: free food :) Feel free to contact me off list about this; it would be nice to get some feedback in the next 24 hours or so.
