The API to access and play with the DPLA metadata stores has been
released.  You can get an API key and test it out (see below, and
https://github.com/dpla ).

Probably simple enough to repeat here:

  curl -v -XPOST http://api.dp.la/v2/api_key/you@your_email.com

If you use Gmail, check your spam folder.  The key is sent immediately.
