Pine, Sorry to hear about your father but glad to hear that the diagnosis was timely.
I once went to a Rainbow Gathering & was off the communications grid for a week. During that week, a cardiologist told my father that he needed a pacemaker "yesterday" & sent him straight to the hospital. I did not find out about it until it was all done. Fortunately, it all went smoothly. I hope things go really smoothly with your father.
