I presume that this is an image of the flag to which Jason & Mako are
refering:

That image is CC-BY-SA-2.5,2.0,1.0. So if we take the image of the tree, I
believe we would need to acknowledge Alexander Baretich. However, if we
take it as inspiration & create somewhat different version of a conifer,
well, that's a different matter.
