- connected on LinkedIn - happy to be a FB admin; I agree that social media can be a time sink, but at the same time it is helpful for creating events for meetups/edit-a-thons, sending reminders, etc. We should see this as a helpful tool for disseminating information and not necessarily as a community building tool, though certainly that is a byproduct. - in my experience, it is helpful to have a couple social media admins who can post/share content; people use social media differently, so having just one person in charge reduces the number of ways it can be used Jason
