I don't know what you guys might think are the causes but two reasons that 
suddenly come to mind are that 

1. Males are more likely to write about men, just as females would women; there 
are more male editors in Ghana at the moment.

2. All editors are more likely to write about stuff they can find references 
to; are there not available references to  Ghanaian female biographies on the 
Internet?

Ghana category is 6.5% ?
