Dear community, Wikimedia Ghana User Group has officially begun its 2025/2026 fiscal year this July, and we on the admin team are excited to roll out our planned activities in collaboration with you.
As part of our commitment to providing high-quality workshops and edit-a-thons that welcome newcomers and engage experienced contributors alike, we are inviting experienced community members to sign up as facilitators. If you have the passion, time, and skill to teach and guide others in editing, we’d love to work with you. We are seeking facilitators to support sessions focused on: - Wikipedia - Wikidata - Translatewiki - Incubator If you are interested, please email [email protected] and include the following details: Your full name The wiki(s) or platforms you are experienced in and able to teach - Your username - Years of experience teaching or facilitating in the Wikimedia space - Confirmation that you are not blocked or banned on any Wikimedia project - A link to a public event on outreachdashboard.wmflabs.org that showcases your facilitation experience (if available) Facilitator support: Wikimedia Ghana User Group provides stipends to cover expenses such as data, meals, transportation, and hotel accommodation (for in-person events). We are committed to supporting you as you volunteer your time and skills to support the community. We look forward to working with you to build the capacity of new and existing contributors, expand outreach, improve content, and strengthen community engagement through workshops, edit-a-thons, and follow-up sessions.
