As you can see, it is a long, long standing issue, with a trail of open bug reports and a pile crushed hopes... let's change that. If you spot any potential problem with the idea in general, or with any of your uses/extension in particular, now it is the moment to speak out and post on the talk page. In order to keep moving things forward, could anyone help me draft the page namespace registration API for extensions? Or if you want to step forward and provide a proposal, even better.
